コントラバスソロアルバム『ONE＋』から10年経ち、続編『ONE＋  SECOND』releaseです。

前作 吉木稔SOULSTATION『PATH OF HOPE』(2019)と同様にホール一発録音。

内容はコントラバスソロとvocal 石川真奈美とのDUO。4作目のリーダー作品。

 

アルバムジャケットは子どもの頃から馴染みのある川古の大楠(日本五位の巨木)、両親の故郷に在る。

 

エンジニアは富正和さん。『ONE＋』の時から10年ずっと一緒に作品づくりをやっていて節目の一枚となりました。

音のドキュメントを聴いて頂けると幸いです。

森林とは一本一本の樹木の総体以上の何物かである。私は自然科学の研究対象としての、外
官に捉えられる「森林」を見てきた。他方、内官に働きかけてくるかのような、人の精神的
な領域での対象としての『森林』に興味を抱いててきた。「森」を見ると同時に『森』に見
られているという実感を持つ人は多いのではないだろうか。村上春樹の『騎士団長殺し』に
「暗闇の中から、樹木の厚い壁の隙間からいくつもの目が私の動きを見守り、監視している
ようだった。」さらには「みみずくは梁の上で、森の叡智を無言のうちに保持していた。そ
の叡智も遠く古代から引継がれてきたものだった。」という記述を見出すことができる。人
は森林に何らかの統一性を見出せる。人為の介入がなく数千年という時間を経て成立して
いる原生林には特別な統一性を感じ取ることができる。陽光と水分を求めて限られた空間
を占有しようとしながら世代交代をする樹木の集団は、ある時は集団ごと自然の撹乱に晒
されようとも復元力によって修復を繰り返しながら、統合された姿をとるに至る。敢えて例
えるならば、多くの患難を克服しその外貌や立ち居振る舞いに威厳と品性を湛えた人物の
ようなとでもいうべきであろうか。
一人、森の中にいると、思索はこの経験世界を超越して森林の奥深くから語りかけてくる叡
智に呼応するかのように彷徨う。この作品では、重低音部のコントラバスが森を進む私を道
案内し、女性ヴォーカリストの歌声は私の内面から湧き上がる問いに寄り添ってくれるか
のようだ。私には解答は得られぬのであろう。それでよい。異界へと迷い込んだ孤独な充足
感が残ったのだから、、。

A forest is something more than all the trees assembled in it. While I devoted myself to seeing
phenomena in forest through my sense as scientist, I was interested in forest as an object of
inner reflection imaged within human brain.
When you see some forest, you might also feel as if the forest watch you. In Haruki Murakami’s
work* you can find the following descriptions, “Yet I could feel something watching me – the
sensation was clear and very unpleasant. Sharp eyes were being trained into my direction from
behind the wall of foliages.”, or “On his beam, the horned owl mutely preserved the wisdom
of the forest. A wisdom also bequeathed from the distant past.”
You find some totality in any forest to some extent. In particular, you can find special totality
in such a primeval forest as having succeeded for several thousand years. In primeval forest,
constituting trees in it have survived for sun beam and water in limited space over its natural
regeneration process. In some cases large scale disturbances damaged the forest once and
again, but long and gradual, in some cases rapid, resilient processes resorted to its restoration,
building present splendid forest landscape. If I find some similarity in human, it reminds me
of personalities who obtained dignity or gracefulness kept in their attitudes and impression
they release out of their inner world where they have overcome various troubles or

temptations in their life.
When I wander deep in forest, my meditation responds to forest wisdom talking to me out of
deepest place where transcendental world spreads above this secular world. In this works by
Minoru Yoshiki, bass sounds the contrabass raises guide me deep into inner forest and woman
vocalist gently accompany me and talk to me responding to my meditation side by side in
lonely wandering in my inner forest. I cannot get any answer, it must be. I never mind. I am
satisfied with a feeling of fulfillment of loneliness that I lost my way into another world.
